Enjoy a woodland walk at this forest popular with all ages. Managed by our partner, Forestry England, and located on the Hampshire/ Surrey border this family favourite draws visitors to escape the everyday whether they are looking for an adventure or time to relax and switch off.

Tramper Routes

There is an excellent choice of routes of varying lengths and taking in the different characteristics of the forest. Each has been carefully assessed for its suitability for visitors using a Tramper for the first time. This location has two Trampers available for hire.

Easy Access and Willows Green Tramper Routes
South of the Visitor Centre is a combination of short trails that help explore one of the most interesting and peaceful parts of the forest. The Easy Access Trail is 1.5 miles (taking around 45 mins) and the Willows Green Trail 0.6 miles (taking around 20 mins).

Play Trail Tramper Routes
Just north of the Visitor Centre a combination of short trails provide access to some of the family areas at Alice Holt. Combining the routes here would be a walk of around 1.5 miles and would take around 45 minutes.

Family Cycle Trail: Tramper Route
This is the longest of the Tramper routes (approx. 3 miles/ 1.5 hours) and is perfect for escaping the crowds. It takes in the scenic Lodge Pond and George’s Lonely Oak!

Visitor Facilities

Alice Holt Forest is well served with a welcome centre and cafe, extensive play areas (including unique Gruffalo sculptures) and cycle hire. There are accessible and Changing Places toilets available.
