National Trust Pentireglaze

The Pentire Headland is one of the highlights of the spectacular North Cornwall coastline and can now be explored using an all terrain mobility scooter (Tramper) available for hire through our partner, National Trust Pentire.

Close to Polzeath and the Camel estuary, this headland combines history and nature as you enjoy the coastal views. With evidence that the headland has been inhabited since 4000BC the area is now a haven for wildflowers, wildlife and birds.

Four contrasting linear routes start from the new visitor facilities (which include parking, refreshments and a Changing Places toilet). Whether it is a walk to the tip of the headland, down to the beach or along the South West Coast Path towards Lundy Bay, you’ll enjoy the beauty of the area. The restored orchard next to the visitor facilities provides a peaceful start or finish with accessible paths and picnic tables.

NB: As Pentire is a working farm with livestock grazing, there will be times when one or two routes may not be available for use. National Trust staff will advise as to which routes are available on the day of your visit.
