Enabling easy access to the South West's beauty spots

Welcoming You Back

Date Posted: 8 July 2020

We're so excited that some of our partner sites are beginning to reopen, with many putting in plans to keep you safe, whilst providing you with the accessible guides, tours and equipment you need to access their sites and get the most out of your visit.  Exciting and beautiful places like Kents Cavern and Moors Valley Country Park and Forest are welcoming you back with Heritage Ability access products.

These partner sites, where Heritage Ability products and tramper hire (all terrian mobility scoooter) is available, are requesting that you contact them prior to your visit to avoid dissapointment and to ensure your access requirements and facilities you need are available.  In particular we are working with our partner tramper hire locations to implement measures that provide you with safety and assurance. As our partner hire locations are all different in terms of their size, nature and run by different organisations, it will look a little different at each hire location.

Our sister project Countryside Mobility Hire Scheme has put together an informative video, which shows you what to expect if you visit a site and hire a tramper, you can watch the 'Welcoming You Back' video here and find out the latest status on tramper hire availability across the south west on a dedicated page on Countryside Mobility website.  One thing that's not changed is the beautiful views, exploring the great outdoors and making memories.

For those who are planning to step outside to visit a Heritage Ability location, countryside beauty spot or outdoor space, we recommend reading the information on the NHS website about keeping safe outdoors and remember most sites have new rules and guidance in place for visiting to ensure everyone's safety is maintained.

As always you can keep up to date on news and updates from both us and our partner sites on our social media channels, Facebook and TwitterWhere are you most looking forward to revisiting? We'd love to hear from you, like our social media page and send us a comment.
