Visitors to National Trust Woodchester Park can now explore more of its stunning landscape thanks to a newly launched Tramper route. New paths have been created from Tinkley Gate, making it easier for people with limited mobility to enjoy this beautiful part of the countryside.
The all-terrain Tramper, available through the Countryside Mobility Hire service, can now take users along a scenic route that includes the lakes, the Boathouse, and the café at the Mansion — places that were previously difficult to reach for many visitors.
Celebrating the launch
The launch event welcomed a small group of supporters and guests.
The very first official ride on the new scooter was taken by Mike Clark, Countryside Mobility member, along with his wife Val and their granddaughter Loxie Chiles. Previously, Loxie raised over £2,500 for Countryside Mobility by completing a half marathon. Their support and enthusiasm helped make the day even more special- we really couldn’t have wished for better guests!
A more accessible countryside
National Trust Woodchester Park is already a much-loved destination, and this new route will make it even more welcoming. The improved paths aim to make the park’s peaceful surroundings and historic features easier for everyone to enjoy.
Bookings for the Tramper are now open, and visitors can choose from a morning or afternoon slot.
