A picturesque lake with watersports centre, cafe and campsite set on the edge of Exmoor National Park near Dulverton.
Wimbleball Lake is a 530 acre site centred on a reservoir built in the 1970s and managed by the South Lakes Trust to provide recreational opportunities both by and on the water.
Hire the Tramper to explore some sections of the lakeside path through woodland and across meadows, with great views across the water – great for bird watching. Afterwards treat yourself in the cafe or you could even camp overnight.
- Path surfaces – compacted gravel, tarmac, grass – uneven and bumpy in places.
- Path gradients – mostly level but some slopes and inclines in places.
A Tramper hire fee of £2.50 per hour is charged. Entrance is free but car park charges apply.
