A Site of Special Scientific Interest, located just outside the Dartmoor National Park boundary, and covering over 114 acres of woodland, heathland, grassland, lake and marsh and a substantial variety of wildlife. A network of paths allows you to explore the Park on the Tramper.

New Route – The Stover Canal Circuit
For those wanting a longer route that explores the surrounding countryside and heritage, there is now a 4 mile circult that takes you through woodlands and hamlets, past the Canadian Rememberance Memorial and alongside the canal that once helped transport granite from Dartmoor to the coast. There’s even a cafe halfway along the route to stop for refreshments.
The Nature Interpretation Centre consists of a visitor centre, classroom, rangers’ office and public toilets.
