Hiring a Tramper enables you to explore the woodland gardens which take in exotic plants, lawns, herbaceous borders and panoramic views that show off the property’s elevated position on its own peninsula of the Fal Estuary (Carrick Roads).

Before or after hiring a Tramper, you’ll also want to explore the house which reflects the different families that have lived here since 1755 and is memorable for its neoclassical columns and south facing views. Visitor facilities include a choice of eating options, National Trust shop, plant sales, second hand book shop and art gallery.

The Tramper is hired from the Visitor Reception and advance booking is required to guarantee availability (especially during busier times of year).
