This website endeavors to conform to priority level A of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0.These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines will help make the web more user friendly for all people.

W3C Standards

This site has been built using code compliant with W3C standards for XHTML and CSS. The site displays correctly in current browsers and using standards compliant XHTML/CSS code means any future browsers will also display it correctly.

Changing text size

You can change the size of the text on this website by clicking on the A+ and A- buttons in the top right of the website. Alternatively you can use the settings of your browser to change text size. For those using Internet Explorer, go to View > Text Size > and select your desired size. For Firefox users, simply hold the CTRL button and press + or - to increase or decrease the size.

Changing the colour of the website

The website can also be viewed in different background colour combinations in order to make it easier for people with visual impairments and dyslexia.  You can choose a different colour combination by clicking the different colored boxes at the top right of the website.

Attached documents

Throughout this website there are documents and publications to download.  All the documents are available in both Adobe Pdf or word format.  To view Pdf files you need to have Adobe reader which is free to download at www.adobe.com. Adobe also provide a free tool on their website to convert Pdfs into text files.

Hard copies of publications

All information contained on this website can be supplied in large print, audio format as a BSL video and in other languages or formats. Please contact us if you require information in an alternative format.
