The National Trust’s Buckland Abbey, Sir Frances Drake’s former home, is the latest site to have a Tramper all-terrain mobility scooter available for hire, where visitors can explore the 700 year old historic estate.
Laura Thompson, The National Trusts Visitor Services Manager said: “We are delighted to be involved in this scheme and are really looking forward to helping more people experience and enjoy the spectacular buildings, gardens and countryside that Buckland Abbey is so famous for. Without the Tramper many areas of the estate are inaccessible due to uneven ground and steep slopes but we can now open up the site to many more people.”
