New accessible transport website - needs your help!

Date Posted: 22 July 2014

Do you find public transport can be daunting especially if you have accessibility requirements? Up-to-date and trustworthy information can be hard to find when planning journeys. Too often, when arriving at railway stations, bus depots or taxi ranks we find they may not be at all like how they have been described.

A non-profit making business called d-trekkers have produced a new website - they have blended together a travel planner with social networking functions, so users can plan journeys and share information about stations they use. They believe information from the disabled community is the most trustworthy when it comes to using trains. You can view the website by going to: www.dtrekkers.co.uk.

d-trekkers have asked us to send you a survey to help them make sure their website is user friendly and useful. They will use your feedback to improve the site and – in time – the provision of public transport for wheelchair users and those with mobility needs.  If you are interested in completing the survey please follow this link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/d-trekkers

Please complete the survey by the 12th August.
