FREE Countryside Mobility annual membership on 28th October at Avon Heath Country Park, near Ringwood, Dorset! On Tuesday 28th October we will be giving away FREE annual membership to the first 5 people who try the Tramper at this new Tramper scooter hire site. Countryside Mobility staff will be at Avon Heath between 10:00 and 14:00 to provide training and sign people up as members. Please bring photo ID if you want to sign up as a member.
Avon Heath is great for families and is very accessible for all abilities and interests and has an excellent visitor centre and cafe. Entry to the park is free but there is a charge for parking. The park is owned by Dorset County Council and managed by Dorset Countryside. The miles of tracks offer Tramper users an opportunity to explore some of Dorset's internationally important heathland and its rare wildlife. The park is dominated by lowland and wet heath, acid grassland and heather, which is broken only by clumps of birch and pine. Some of the rarer species to look out for are Sand Lizards and Smooth Snakes, Dartford Warblers, Woodlarks and Silver-studded Blue butterfly.
