National Trust Trengwainton

NB: The property closes during the winter. Please visit their website for details and dates.

Sheltered in mild West Cornwall, National Trust Trengwainton makes the perfect destination for the garden lover. Located just outside Penzance it provides the perfect introduction to the freedom that the all terrain Tramper scooter can offer for exploring the countryside.

Winding wooded paths pass award winning magnolias, rhododendrons and exotic plants as you climb uphill before the gardens open up to reveal sweeping views across Mount’s Bay. The return via the drive is bordered by a stream garden and open meadows with the opportunity of exploring the walled gardens including a kitchen garden reputedly built to the dimensions of Noah’s Ark.

The gardens are open from around February half term to October half term, Sunday to Thursday. Visit the location’s website for specific details.

We strongly recommend that you telephone in advance to make a booking by calling 01736 363148 (option 2) during normal opening hours (10.30-5 Sunday to Thursday). Whenever possible try to book a minimum of 3 days in advance. There’s no charge for hiring the Tramper.

Please be aware that all Tramper users must be accompanied by one other person and one of you must be in possession of a working mobile phone in case of difficulties.
